Season 2 Episode 14 Title & Synopsis

It sounds like its finally time for team Supergirl to rescue father Danvers from CADMUS. But will he be the father they know and love? We aren't sure and therein lies the rub as they say. We all know that Jeremiah has been altered in some way but when we saw him last he seemed pretty human looking. So, whatever it is CADMUS did to him must be internal. Do remember, these are the people in the comic books resposible for the DNAlien project. The title to the 14th episode of Supergirl is Homecoming and below is the synopsis!

DEAN CAIN RETURNS – When Jeremiah Danvers (guest star Dean Cain) is rescued from Cadmus, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Kara (Melissa Benoist) are thrilled to have their father back. The Danvers arrange a family dinner to celebrate but things go awry when a suspicious Mon-El (Chris Wood) starts to question Jeremiah about his sudden return. Larry Teng directed the episode written by Caitlin Parrish & Derek Simon (#214). Original airdate 2/27/2017.

How much you want to bet that Jeremiah will not give his blessing to a wedding proposal between Kara and Mon-El?

Okay - just call me sunshine and roses but I'm hoping that Jeremiah, Eiza, Kara and Alex have a warm family reunion in the end full with love and fuzzy moments. Since it sounds like SuperGirl and Alex have to rescue him from Cadmus then there is a good chance he could be normal. My vote is for a good ending but it may take more than one episode to have one. If anyone should be able to tell if something is different, I would think it would be Eliza.

Obviously I have no idea how the script treats this, but logic dictates that Jeremiah would be examined by DEO when they got him back, to make sure he was the real deal. Since he worked for DEO before his "death," they'd have his DNA to compare.

That assumes the screenwriters are going to properly consider the needs of the story here.

Peace,
Gene

It's not something he likes to do but under the circumstances J'onn should read his mind.

True but considering Max Lord was able to create a being with Supergirl's DNA, it would not be a stretch that Cadmus could do something very similar, and then taking it one step further. However, I think that it will be the Real Jeremiah Danvers, but not the same person that he was when he was taken.

I think we're all very happy that this issue is finally getting attention lol. However for all the build up, hopefully it isn't lightly and immediately resolved.

I'm probably in the minority on this one, but I kinda hope Mon-El's right. If Jeremiah just comes back all 100% A-okay after being held by Cadmus for 11+ years, well, that's just really anticlimactic IMO. Plus, if there's nothing wrong with him it raises the question: What the heck was Cadmus doing holding on to him all this time? IMO it strains credulity that Cadmus & Lillian Luthor left him unscathed - Lillian Luthor was a little too happy with medical experimentation (see: Metallo) for that to be 100% believable.

*shrug* Maybe the episode will end all sunshine and daisies. Maybe the most dramatic thing that happens is that for five minutes everyone was suspicious of Jeremiah (due to Mon-El's suspicions), but in the end, Jeremiah is okay and the drama of the episode (and further eps as far as Jeremiah is concerned?) are centered around the Danvers clan struggling to get reacquainted after more than a decade apart.

I just ..... I hope there's more to Jeremiah's return than unfounded suspicions.

You aren't the only one, I'm hoping for the same thing. To me a happy reunion is almost anti-climatic.

"Works for me, I like happy moments. Would have even been nice if they finished 'Better Angels' with the toast to family, such a beautiful scene."

Me, too! That's why I always end my fan-fiction stories that way :)

A happy Danvers family reunion is something I've wanted to see happen this season and if doesn't occur in this episode (14) hopefully it will by the end of episode 22.
