I really do hope that James gets to tell Kara he is Guardian. I think that would really help the whole Guardian subplot because now they would be able to work together and trust each other. I know I would like the whole Guardian plot if he told her.

Or, she will see right through him and blast him for putting Winn in danger to take care of his ego needs. Then he realizes how wrong he was and drops the Guardian schtick. 8)

I hope you are right on this Kel. But I don't think I will hold my breath!

"Alternatively, swathe her in copper window screen. Conducts better than water."

Yes- a Faraday cage!
I think there may be some telepathy going on here. I wrote a fan-fiction story over the summer using that exact idea! (I had Winn and Dick Malverne build a Faraday cage for Kara out of copper wire, so she wouldn't be fried by the villains' giant Tesla coil :)

Here's the story I was talking about:

Fresh water conducts poorly. Also, it conducts in all directions, so that Livewire's lightning bolts spread out in all directions. The alternative is "Dive into swimming pool. Inhhale deeply. Exhale in her direction and spray her with water.

Alternatively, swathe her in copper window screen. Conducts better than water.

"Listen Kara, if LiveWire is on your tail, just hold your breath and dive into the nearest swimming pool (or lake or river). She won't be able to follow you there! :)"

Water is a conductor of electricity. Yikes. Livewire will fry her without needing to go in there.

Actually, according to the comics, water is LiveWire's "kryptonite". It shorcuits her, and causes her to "discharge", and lose her powers. That's how she was defeated before on the show. In the "LiveWire" episode, Kara sprayed her with a water hose that was apparently left on at a construction site. And in the "Worlds' Finest" episode, National City firefighters sprayed her with one of their fire truck's hoses.

I didn't think this through enough it seems. I was thinking one short controlled zap would wipe out Kara, guess Livewire can't do that before she short circuits? My bad. Those two would probably be both knocked out like Livewire and Silver Banshee last year then.

Quoting Eire El:
LiveWire keeps returning, intent on murdering people with no remorse and getting in Supergirls way, making her a clear first nemesis.

Well, there's also the fact that Kara inadvertently created Livewire through her intervention. That makes it a personal beef.
