Premiere Date for the Final Season Announced

Supergirl fans! We finally have a premiere date for the sixth and final season for Supergirl! The date is a lot closer than we thought and is actually very interesting. For those of you that have been following Superman and Lois, the first five episodes were confirmed yesterday to air without interruption (SupermanAndLoistv.com). Well today, according to TVLine, we are learning that a Covid-19 related production delay that happened last summer has forced Superman and Lois into a small hiatus for March 30th. This means that while that hiatus is on, Supergirl will make her final debut in the Superman and Lois time slot! FINALLY The Girl of Steel returns and we have an accurate countdown clock! We weren't far off on our estimate either!

One thing I did forget to say. WELCOME BACK MELISSA!!! It is so wonderful to see season 6 pictures of Melissa Benoist on the internet. I love her going back to the old hairstyle and it is just great to see her back in action.

Looking forward to the first synopsis of the final season. Interested to see if Lex will encounter Gamemnae and her new look and how much Melissa we actually get. We were left with several avenues they could take.

I must say this is a nice surprise, thank-you CW :-) . I wasn't expecting Season 6 to begin until July or maybe even August (after the Olympics if they go ahead) but to get the 1st episode at the end of this month gives one the good feels.

Here's to hoping there's some good episodes to come (for me it will depend on how much Melissa is in them which is still a big question mark I have regarding the about 1st 5 episodes). There is at least a young Kara story to look forward to especially as I have enjoyed Izabela Vidovic's portrayal of Kara so far.

About...freaking...time.

Hopefully this means we'll get 7 straight episodes. Then we'll have a hiatus and probably pick up after Superman & Lois ends it's season.

That's my thinking as well. And I still think Supergirl could then be paired with Stargirl since The Flash should be ending season 7 around the same time as Superman & Lois wraps season 1.

This news is music to my ears. It seems that the main course is coming in the summer with Supergirl and Stargirl. Everything is falling into place very nicely.

When I saw this news today, I was so excited especially with spring that still seems so far away in Canada with the never-ending snowstorms and Covid. I am actually gonna be watching new Supergirl episodes before I get vaccinated... it's a long process in Canada! So, Supergirl has brightened my day and is giving me hope for good things to come!

Yes, hopefully 7 straight. But it will probably be back before Superman concludes it's season. Superman returns in May, it will have 10 episodes to go. If they want to air all of Supergirl this season, it will need to return prior to Superman completing its season run.

I hope it doesn't land back on Sunday and gets to complete its run on Monday, where it all began. But, either way, great news.

Yays! I guess they can schedule all 20 this season. I figured the season would get split and run into next season.

It's a bummer Superman will have its momentum interrupted.

Otherwise, March is looking good. Pennyworth returns Sunday, we get new Superman "extended" episodes streaming on CW App until Supergirl returns. I'll take it.
