Good evening Supergirl fans! Tonight we did some extensive photo analysis to give you even further information on the Supergirl pilot! We have six images you've probably already seen here on our gallery page, but a second closer look shows us some interesting facts!
- Kara is wearing a Catco badge. We hacked away at it in a few different ways but the best we could decipher was that is says, Catco. Unlimited Media. If you have any guesses, let us know in the comments section!
- Kara had to stop by National City Bean Serve ... At least we think that's what it says. National City is pretty easy, its the second part that's hard. Again, if you have a guess, comment us below!
- Next up we have the paper that Kara works for, the National City Tribune!
- This next image is possibly the most interesting. Kara drops a bag which is probably Cat's breakfast. This is such a perfect display of how Kara has practiced being human for over 12 years. Whether it is sub-conscious or intentional, this is Kara doing her best to be human.
- To further the performance, we see here in this next image, Kara has gone back and gotten a new bag for Cat (color change in bag).
- Finally, to perfect the rouse, Kara returns with more frazzled hair and her new breakfast for Cat.
Pretty cool stuff here. We think that this scene is the exact kind of thing Supergirl fans are going to want to see. Supergirl is Kryptonian, she can start to drop a bag, fly around the world, and catch the bag before it hits the ground. Superman fans might remember the undeniably awesome scene from Kill Bill where Bill explains the essence of Superman:
Superman didn’t become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he’s Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red “S”, that’s the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears – the glasses, the business suit – that’s the costume. That’s the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent? He’s weak, he’s unsure of himself, he’s a coward. Clark Kent is Superman’s critique on the whole human race.
Kara Zor-El wakes up as Kara Zor-El. and just like Bill said, Kara does what she can to blend in with us humans. If you want to see more photos like this and maybe do your own analysis visit our gallery of week 2 day 1 photos.
