Every once in awhile, there is a guest star that just really stands out and you have to find a way to bring them back. Jon Cryer's Lex Luthor might be the ultimate example of this. Lex is a household Arroverse name now! When it comes to just Supergirl fans, there are three other names that stand out; Olivia Nikkanan, Izabela Vidovic and of course Helen Slater. Today, The CW confirmed for Supergirl.tv that at least two of these three lovely guest stars who played Young Alex Danvers, Young Kara Danvers and Eliza Danvers respectively will make another appearance in season 5!

We know specifically that Nikkanen and Slater are confirmed but can't confirm Vidovic. Details on their return, if this will be a flashback or some kind of time travel episode or any other plot points aren't known, but fans have consistently delighted when these younger versions of our favorite sisters appear along side their mother!

Melissa’s directing episode 17 and a flashback episode would be a fan acceptable reason for her to have reduced screen time in either episode 17 or 16 so she can prep.

I love any show that has Helen Slater or the two young actresses that play the part of a young Alex and Kara. From what I am seeing, the rest of these SuperGirl episodes will be fantastic. Season 5 has been a good season.

would make sense if this was the ep that Melissa directs, as it would limit her on screen requirements. Always love to see Eliza on the show, she is truly underused. #SuperMum

Well, such an event would have to be a possibility for next season, since Legends is wrapping up filming their current season this week in Vancouver.

I really think the Legends should do a crossover event with Supergirl. The Legends could travel back in time and encounter the young Danvers and then the story could have ramifications that need to be worked out with the present day sisters. Helen Slater is always welcome. I so wanted an appearance in Crisis. I think it would have been awesome to see her in that last scene flying with Brandon Routh as Superman.
