To be read in the Harry Potter movie series tone: "You're a witch, Lena"! There's no other way to put it. Our favorite genius billionaire is also a wielder of the dark arts and can provide the very power that might take Nxyly down. At least we think so. In the new synopsis for October fifth's all new episode, Lena is uncertain about using her new abilities but it will be Supergirl that needs them to help her find more totems! William is going to be beating his head against the wall trying to come up with more superfriends stories for Andrea and Kelly has a little girl's future to think of! Read the full synopsis for yourself below:

LENA MUST ACCEPT HER NEWFOUND POWERS IN ORDER TO HELP THE SUPER FRIENDS – Lena (Katie McGrath) is uncertain about using her magical abilities to help Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) retrieve the second totem from Nyxly (Peta Sergeant). William (Staz Nair) struggles to write a story on the Super Friends that makes both the heroes and Andrea (Julie Gonzalo) happy. Meanwhile, Kelly (Azie Tesfai) is thrilled Esme (guest star Mila Jones) has found a new home, but things go awry and the little girl’s future is put in danger. The episode was directed by Simon Burnett and written by Karen. E. Maser & Derek Simon (#614). Original airdate 10/5/2021.

I hoped to see more Mxy and Nyxly interaction.

I don't think Lena's mom being involved with witchcraft is a big stretch. After all, she had an interest in the magical power the Acrata necklace possessed. However. Lena's true power has always been brainpower.

It seemed many times that Lena did not think that she needed to stay within always leaning to the side of good. I think Nyxly will be surprised going up against this new addition in the arsenal of the SuperFriends and that Lena will help to make the group more effective.

So as long as the writers have maintained SuperGirl as the most powerful on her team, I will be satisfied.

It will be very interesting to see how the Lena storyline unfolds and how she helps SG retrieve the 2nd totem from Nyxly. I'm just happy to see her return and figure it all out amongst her friends.

I knew it was only a matter of time till little Esme is back I hope this is where Alex gets to meet her too.

Any guesses on which totem they are hunting in this episode? I'm really confused how getting the totems vis a vis having to take a test to get the totems are going to work.

Somebody remind me, do the Superfriends know that Andrea is Acrata? Maybe Lena could blackmail Andrea not to release the article or else Lena will spill Andrea's secret.

I still don't get why they had to turn Lena into a witch as opposed to having her invent some science gadget that can detect Nyxly or totems. Maybe they were really serious about wanting Kelly to be the only "normal" human of the group? As if Lena being a super scientist as they already established in the episode where Kelly was insecure about not contributing enough wasn't enough to make her special already.
