I was thinking that same exact thing I think whoever is in her apartment is going after her as the journalist not as Supergirl .
Metallo never met Mon-El so may not put 2+2 together. Kara's secret could possibly still be safe.

It can't be his axe because that one exploded in the fight. Maybe its a copy or they got one from another one of the Vartox people. I don't know but its not his.
