In Season 3, I hope that they keep Lena in the "gray area" I think that makes her far more interesting than the "bighearted bestie of Supergirl". I think she needs to make some moral mistakes along her journey to becoming a better Luthor.

i still think she is gonna be evil. But we will see. I do not see her being promoted to a regular only just to become Kara's BFF. its a missed oportunity with a Luthor if you can't have Lex. We also now know she is a true Luthor and also said she could be more manipulative and playing the long game better than Lex. So i still think she did all this to gain her trust and then wipe Kara's feet under her when she finds out she is Supergirl.

The whole point of this season, and of Lena's character, is that she's not like her brother and her mother. If she did become a villain, that would be very very lazy writing, especially when we have characters like mon el and m'gann who have proven they are different from their cultures. (Mon el changing is debatable, but that's another discussion) Lena is supposed to have a 'series long arc' about being a friend vs foe. Having her be the villain of s3 would be majorly jumping the shark.

I think I have to agree with Jordan on this. I still believe her closing chess scene was meant to lead us to believe she's being secretly nefarious. When in reality, I think it was demonstrating she can be just as formidable as her brother and mother, but to go AGAINST them...not WITH them. Now, perhaps her Luthor side keeps her in the gray area, but that, I think is what makes her such an interesting character. In fact, she's definitely my fAvorite of the newbs.

I hope that in s3 they let Lena actually interact with other characters. I think an Alex/Lena dynamic would be interesting.

It's weird that they haven't really interacted this season (really why have they kept Alex and Kara's arcs so isolated from each other this season?) being that Lena's mom leads Cadmus and Alex's dad has been their hostage/forced accomplice for over 10 years. Lena has never felt like she was enough for her family (always trying to be perfect and win her mothers approval) and that is exactly Alex's emotional struggle since season 1 (to a slightly lesser degree). Lena is a scientist (engineer?) and Alex is a bio-engineer.

I don't know if they'll go evil with Lena or not but I think a morally grey Lena would be more interesting than a full blown villain. She can still be good without being purely good, you know? But whatever they chose I just really want them to decide by the end of the season, I don't want them playing the is she good or bad game anymore.

I see Lena as Season 3's main villain. Anyway, since when does a Luthor become BFF with a Kryptonian? Could Snapper Carr work for LexCorp if there is no more focus on Catco? He has been underutilized IMO.

And I like James, but either he is given a decent, major role in Season 3 or he just goes. I think the character has been treated crappy by the show for this season.

I'm so glad Katie is a regular, she and Melissa have such wonderful chemistry. Now if only the show would focus on Supergirl again and not mon el, I'd be happy. That boy gets way too much screen time...

All that aside, I miss Cat, but if calista can't come back then Lena would be the perfect power foil to Kara.i have the feeling there's going to be some friction between them, but Lena will prove herself a friend in the end.

There is no chemistry if there is its only as a friend for now. I bet if her scenes was with Katie you wouldnt complain. Take your hate away from this site and go back to your insane SC shippers that is ruining this fandom. Sending hate to actors, writers ect.. Lena will become evil. They dont promote a Luthor as series regular just to be BFF with Kara.

Did I mention SC? I just said that I enjoy Katie's scenes with Melissa. There's no need to be rude. As for Lena being evil, we'll see, but I'd like to believe that she proves a point by being different. That's what this season is all about, after all. Being better than where you came from.

But...you think someday, if not later this season but perhaps early next, Kara may have to reveal her dual identity to Lena? I mean Maggie as she IS a detective seems to know.

I hope if the reveal happens it's more along the lines of Cat Grant... A long process, rather than telling her like with Lucy, and NOT like Maggie just easily figuring it out. I hate that the mystery of it keeps being given up quite easily.

I am glad that supergirl made it out okay. Melissa is the girl of steel. Supergirl can handle anything. I hope Lena can be Ally to supergirl. Whatever the writers decide. All the songs from the music crossover were excellent. Go supergirl go. From Supergirl's number one fan

I 200% think she is going friend...that may every so often do something that may not be exactly how Supergirl would handle it and that will cause friction in their friendship every so often, but in the end... friend.

200%?!...HOLY SUPER CONFIDENCE, KELLY! But...you think someday, if not later this season but perhaps early next, Kara may have to reveal her dual identity to Lena? I mean Maggie as she IS a detective seems to know.
