Looks like there could be a Danvers battle coming up! No not a Captain Marvel vs Supergirl crossover event, but how amazing would that be! This is much more subtle. Rumors abound that the names Kara Danvers and Carol Danvers are too similar. While early scripts have had the name Kara Danvers as Supergirl's Earth adopted name, a more classic "L" name maybe used to help further the differences between the characters. This isn't unheard of, Bruce Banner was actually David Banner in the Hulk tv show.
In other news, it sounds like filming is set to begin February 9th. They weren't kidding about needing to get started fast! What we can learn from this is, more casting announcements should be right around the corner and more importantly, costume fittings should be underway. Unless the set is kept super tight, its not unreasonable to think we'll get a glimpse of the Supergirl costume pretty soon.
