CBS' Supergirl continues to flex its casting muscle! They love showing just how spot on they can be when making a comic book universe come to life. We all knew General Sam Lane would be joining the cast but now we know who is filling that role. According to Comicbookresources.com, It's none-other-than Glenn Morshower (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon). Comicbookresoruces.com went on to describe why General Lane would be showing up in National City:
General Lane will head to National City and attempt to involve Kara (Melissa Benoist) in a dangerous government initiative. He will arrive on the show shortly after his daughter Lucy (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) is introduced.
Having seen Smallville, its hard to think of another actor in the role of Sam Lane beyond Michael Ironside but just when you think that casting is impossible to fill here comes Glenn Morshower. Glenn is 9 years younger than Ironside and still has a very decorated acting career. He also personifies that lifelong military personality to a certainty. Morshower will easily make the role his own and seems to be a perfect fit for the show.
