Tonight's episode of Supergirl was clearly part one of a major two-part story! Maybe even more! With Exodus (the title of Supergirl's season 2 episode 15) coming next week and the return of Dean Cain, we feel like there are going to be some MAJOR things coming! Some interesting observations. Alex has had a lot of training as a soldier in the DEO, but it's clear that she tends to go over the top in regards to family crises. Her drinking may be a side-effect of that.
Maggie's ex is eventually going to show up in a future episode, so Alex is going to have to rise up to that emotional challenge as their relationship develops.
I'm thinking the plotline may build to a "Manchurian Candidate" climax. You can tell that Jeremiah's brainwashing (or reprogramming) was not totally effective. There's some of the old Jeremiah still in there, too. At the end, he may not actually pull the trigger (or push the red button), and will instead turn the weapon on the villains from Cadmus. ("Hoist with his own petard" as Shakespeare put it in Hamlet.)

1. It is seems that Alex has a problem with alcohol - solo drinker, always ready to drink first and whenever is a problem she get alcohol :-(
2. Her and Maggie are passionate about job and problems solving but not so passionate in their relationship. Both of them can show more passion, like Win and Lyra and Mon-El and Kara. They are sweet but I think and I hope they will show us more passion in relationship. If Maggie is "crazy about" Alex hope she will show it often. Maybe some "love you" scene???
3. Alex having problem with anger control. Can she really go and punch people whenever she is upset and in the not having control situation? Maggie can talk to her and be support. Police officers get this often.
