Supergirl is going to be facing Livewire yet again! As we saw in some of the footage from this morning, Livewire looks to be back in a big way! Well The CW has released the synopsis for that episode and we know the title too! Episode ten is "We Can Be Heroes" and the synopsis can be found below:
LIVEWIRE IS SET LOOSE UPON NATIONAL CITY — After Livewire (guest star Brit Morgan) seemingly breaks out of prison, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is intent on recapturing her. After training Mon-El (Chris Wood), Supergirl takes him with her when she sees Livewire attack the NCPD but things go awry when Mon-El puts Supergirl before the citizens of National City. Meanwhile, James (Mehcad Brooks) decides to come clean with Kara and M’Gann (guest star Sharon Leal), has a psychic attack and collapses into a coma. Rebecca Johnson directed the episode written by Caitlin Parrish & Katie Rose Rogers (#210). Original airdate 1/30/2017.
Sounds pretty awesome, and sounds like Mon-El and Kara might be getting a little closer, or at least Mon-El's true feelings could be revealed. Let us know what you think in the comments below and in the forum! Keep our site going too and visit the support page if you can!

Also, didn't Kara already try zapping Livewire with her heat vision when she was up in Cat's office (in the "Livewire" episode)? As I recall, it had no effect on her - Livewire appeared to just absorb the energy, and use it to recharge her "batteries".
But then again. Livewire may not be able to blast and evaporate water balloons at the (super)speed that Kara could throw them at her. She may simply not have time, if the balloon is coming at her at the speed of a machine-gun bullet! :)
Really, for the two of them, it comes down to who uses their powers more effectively. Kara has superspeed reflexes and flight, but she can't actually touch Lesley without getting shocked, and unless she just decides to go for an immediate "kill" on Lesley, she has to be careful when using her heat vision. She usually seems to use it to "No Sell" Lesley's lighting projection.
Lesley, on the other hand, can "wire ride/teleport" if she's anywhere close to an electrical conduit (ubiquitous in a place like National City). This allows her to move about as fast as Kara, but only while in the wiring. And she obviously has no problem using her ranged electrical attacks without hesitation.
What Kara needs, logically, is an insulated suit ("paging Winn Schott!") that prevents her from being affected by the lightning. That takes most of Lesley's advantages away in a fight.
I'll also vote for the dust over the water. I question water as Livewire's vulnerability because it means the solution is to place a call to the good guys in the Fire Deptartment as happened in the season 1 crossover. The phrase "THis is a job for Supergirl" should mean it's one that needs her not and that our esteemed firefighters cannot substitute for Supergirl..
Well, it depends on where Livewire was located at the time of her attack, too. If she was at the top of a skysc[censored]r, the firefighters' hose couldn't reach her. And Alex probably couldn't get a DEO helicopter in quite close enough to hit her with a Super Soaker. But Kara could easily bombard Livewire with water balloons in that situation! :)

Well, to read you guys and your "duster" theory.....Supergirl needs this instead...

It could be simply her not wanting to be a regular, not necessarily not writing her in more.
And to the guy with the "drive by slam" on James, really? Many of us don't necessarily love the Guardian storyline, but no need to take that kind of route with your opinion.
Violett Beane need to be cast as a regular on one of the DC shows. Bring her back for good!!
