This is a VERY SPECIAL announcement for us! Our "nerdom" has been cemented in several different genres and today we are so incredibly excited to share with you that the Vice President of the United States (for Earth 38) has been cast! You might remember that Lynda Carter (The original live action Wonder Woman) has been playing President Marsdin since season 2. Furthermore, it was revealed, at least to the audience, that she was an alien as well. That could likely play into the reason there is a need for the Vice President to be cast since the theme of the season is "Humans First". Could the President be ousted from her position? What does this mean for Cat Grant? All that said, and without further ado, Vice President will be played by Brent Spiner!!!!
For the population that doesn't know who Brent Spiner is (I joke I am just so excited), he played Lieutenant Commander Data, in Star Trek the Next Generation as well as the subsequent movies that followed. He was also Dr. Brakish Okun in both Independence Day and Independence Day: Resurgence! Brent isn't the unfamiliar with DC Comics either, he was the voice of "Edward Nigma / Riddler" in 2017's Justice League Action. Brent is also one of those incredible actors who has had the honor of playing himself (on "The Big Bang Theory") as well as playing his younger great great great grandfather on Star Trek Enterprise as Doctor Arik Soong.
Vice President Baker is described as:
Adept and politically minded, Vice President Baker makes for an unlikely leader, but steps up in a big way when his country needs him most.
We have several ideas why the Vice President needs to step up but we want to hear your opinions! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and in the forum! Also, keep us advertisement free and visit the support page if you can!

Wweellll....actually....being Kara IS a Backstreet Boys fan, "Larger Than Life" would fit just nicely Alex was the rocker.
Picturing her having even memorized the dance moves...

Well, it couldn't be the top-selling rock and roll song of all time - "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley & the Comets. That one's already been used - for "Happy Days", remember?
I'm in total agreement and a big part of the show is Kara dealing with everyday stuff. That's what makes her so adorable. However, lol, "Love is all around" would not be my first choice for a theme song. It's got to be a rock and roll song. And I can't think of any that would fit the show. Unless you want to take a chance and go with the star spangled banner performed by Jimmi Hendrix at woodstock.
"Yeah it would be a giant mistake to forget its a superhero show first and foremost. Hope they are smart enough to see to not mess with the core Audience."
"I just hope the season doesn't get to political..'
Yes, I totally agree with these comments!
Kara needs to be the central character in her show. (And her most important relationship should be with Alex.) I'd like to see Kara on the job as a reporter, as well as performing super-heroics. You know - more "everyday stuff".
I always thought Kara was a lot more interesting character than her rather one-dimensional "Big Blue Boy Scout" cousin. Her personality should be showcased: a bit irreverent at times, perhaps a little goofy on occasion - but basically level-headed, bright, perceptive, and most of all, always concerned with the welfare of others. "Hope, Help, and Compassion For All", right? That's what I want to see on the show!
Come to think of it, I suppose "Love Is All Around" ("You're going to make it after all") suits Kara as a theme song just as well as it did Mary Tyler Moore :)

Where do you get Kara will be a supporting character on her own show ?
Quoting Kiwi:
Marsdin being a Democrat doesn't automatically mean that her VP is too; it is possible she could have chosen to be the first Presidential candidate in U.S. history to run on a "cross -party" ticket, especially if Baker was a Republican moderate.
However, it's probably more likely that he's a Democrat who shares her viewpoints in general if not in specific, which is why I don't think he's being set up as a villain (that's not to say he won't be an antagonist).
