"I've seen your house, now let me show you mine". At least that is the vibe we are getting seeing Teri Hatcher's Rhea inside the Fortress of Solitude with Mon-El and Kara. We also are getting our first official look at Maggie's ex-girlfriend and Alex's interaction with her. Further more, it looks like the CW likes to make sure we know which episodes Kevin Smith directs because he's in a few of the images as well. Not that we are complaining, we love his work and he was amazing at Paleyfest. Check out the images below:

What do you think of the images? Is that a good bye hug from Mon-El? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and in the forum! Keep advertisements buried with Krypton and visit our support page to keep us ad-free!

Kevin Smith posted a pic of him with Supergirl, Mon-El, and Rhea holding not one but two Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtle looking weapons. I wonder if they're really partly equipped with Kryptonite to be used for their (Daxamites) battles against Kryptonians.

Quoting koamom3:
It could very well be a green wand. She could whip it out, draw a mouse head and say, "I'm Queen Rhea of Daxam and you're watching the Disney Channel." Haha...

Quoting Triggy:
Nope, HolyHandGrenade already pointed that out at comment #50 :-)

Which makes me wonder - if it's really green Kryptonite, does Superman and Supergirl really need to see it before they feel the effects of it? For consistency, though, with the Red Kryptonite in Fallen, they only need to be in close proximity of the rocks. Could be just a green wand...

Just two days to find out nevertheless!

Quoting koamom3:
Is it just me, or does it look like Queen Rhea might be holding a piece of Kryptonite behind her back in the 2nd picture of her with Kara and Mon-El?

Supergirl can do anything. I respect Supergirl. Alex and Maggie need more screen time. Melissa is our girl of steel. Women rule. From supergirls number one fan. Go Supergirl go.

I wonder where the sneak peeks are they have done very little advertising for this episode.

Also in the second to the last picture doesn't it look like Kara is slumping a little?

Rip, stabbed in the leg?

Or just positioning

But at any rate, I hope you've enjoyed getting a chance to see original covers and clips from my collection of vintage DC comics (which I have now digitized). Think of it as pop-culture history! :)

I've certainly enjoyed them Stewart, without you here I probably wouldn't have given much thought to reading the Silver Age Supergirl stories but am totally interested in them now from your postings.

Now all we need is some Distant Sun Sneak Peaks, it's been a while since any Sneak Peaks for episodes were released on a Friday or Saturday, it always seems to be Sunday or Monday.

Episode looks good. Not looking forward to the big break until a new episode, though, but actors need their rest too.

As a side note, I was inspired to watch "Funny Face," after the "Star Crossed" episode. Kara was right. Movie was lots of fun and wow, Audrey Hepburn was so adorable.

"The show runners from the very beginning made it clear that this would be a totally different universe from the comics, that they were forging their own. Of course you would bring in the mainstays of the comics like Kryptonite, etc...but I don't think we can gauge anything with this series by the comics. I think they have their own map that they are following, only the towns have the same name. ;)"

Well, sure - I'm not saying that the effects of kryptonite have to be the same as they were in the original Silver Age comics. (I realize that they won't necessarily be so.) I'm just pointing out that it's different - different from what I was used to from the comics I read as a kid.

But at any rate, I hope you've enjoyed getting a chance to see original covers and clips from my collection of vintage DC comics (which I have now digitized).

Are you kidding...I eat that stuff up. We have a thread over at SHH in the Supergirl forum where we did a Comic Cover Count Down for the first season. LOVED IT!

"I wondered about the Kryptonite proximity issue on this show too. Kara seems to recover rather quickly from exposure to it too."

Yes, the effects of exposure to kryptonite on Kryptonians seem to be a lot milder on this show than they ever were in the comics.
In the comics, Kara and Clark would collapse whenever they were around green kryptonite, and then they would pass out after a couple of minutes! (And lead had an identical effect on Daxamites.)

Here's a good example, from Superman comics #71:
