CW Upfront Increase

The last purchase agreements are being finalized from the Upfront Presentations a while back. For those that don't remember, the upfronts are a series of presentations where networks come to show off their new products (tv shows). In doing so, they often set prices for advertisements and make deals so advertisers can get their messages attached to the shows they think will have the largest impact. Well according to Variety.com, The CW is seeing a huge increase in their CPM (a rate in which an advertiser pays to reach 1,000 viewers). Last year the CW saw 2-4% increases with The Flash starting its sophomore season. Well now, the network is seeing 12-14% increases! One of the only differences, this year has Supergirl! Many are now suggesting that the powerful increases in CPM are largely due to the addition of Supergirl! This bodes very well for the show's future on the CW!

What do you think of this new information? Do you think we could see even higher budget episodes now? Let us know in the comments below and the forum! Also, keep us advertisement free and visit the support page! Thanks!
