It's the only news that any Supergirl fan wants to hear right now. After days, weeks, months of waiting, speculating, worrying, or whatever else you did to get by in this troubling time, the wait is over. We can now finally say that Supergirl will be returning for a second season! While all the major media outlets are reporting on the news, here's what we know from Entertainment Weekly:
Supergirl has been renewed for a second season — but will be moving from CBS to The CW, EW has confirmed.
Reports also have it that the series will move production from Los Angeles to Vancouver, where those other shows also film, but The CW would not confirm. The move could also bring more cross-over opportunities between Berlanti-verse brands, such as when The Flash joined Supergirl earlier this year.
We also have learned from the Martian himself (David Harewood) that the CW has already committed to 22 episodes!!!!
Also, for those who had any worries or doubts about Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant not returning, put those worries aside! TheHollywoodReporter.com has learned Calista has agreed to move for the show!
Following a strong take-off, the show co-starring Calista Flockhart — who, despite being adamant about working in L.A., agreed to remain on the series with its move to Vancouver
This news is exactly what we needed! Everyone can finally relax and rest their weary hearts because Melissa Benoist, David Harewood, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, Mehcad Brooks, Calista Flockhart and the gang will be back to continue the story of Kara Zor-El! Frankly, this is a time to:
