Comicbook.com has learned that the DVD and Blu-Ray editions of Supergirl season 1 are a go! Pre-Orders are starting to be widely acceptable by several vendors. This is is an important milestone for the series. The cancelled Constantine drama on NBC said they would release a DVD/Blu-Ray version of the show if it got a second season. Sadly, no DVD release. The timing of this announcement, being right after the season finale, is a great indicator the show will have its second season. Users that have purchased the iTunes season pass should already be able to access some of the behind the scenes footage and special features! Here is a 30 second preview of the kind of content:
Currently, Amazon and Walmart are accepting pre-orders. An official release date hasn't been set but Walmart is estimating a July 26th release. Average price should be around $55 - $50 dollars. Prices may drop as we get closer to the release.
