I Believe In A Thing Called Love Gallery

We are getting close to those last precious few episodes left of Supergirl! Many of you may have caught the cast all reminiscing about the show at DC Fandome. Check out our forum if you haven't seen it. Our hope is that there might be a longer version of it on future DVD/Bluray sets. Additionally Melissa has been doing the talk show circuit promoting the show's end and her new book. Turns out six years of flying can take it's toll. Looking ahead to episode 17 of the final season, "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" we have brand new images from the episode. Never understood why they release those on the day of a new episode but we can't complain, check them out below:

Nice shots. Thanks for posting them. We're in the final stretch now... ;-)

Esme is very cute. The Kara pictures look very bland, sadly making it seem like the episode will be bland overall, which is disappointing since this episode was hyped up by the writers specifically as being quite heartwrenching and I'm just not seeing that here.

And yes the lack of Kara and Alex ever since Kara returned is intensely disappointing. The writers keep saying they are the heart of the show and that they consider them the most interesting relationship and then they completely ignore them. They basically take the one thing everybody agrees is great and treat it like dirt rather than making use of their most valuable asset. This is the end of the show. If anything could deliver gut wrenching emotional investment it would be Alex and Kara and yet the writers do nothing with it. So many storylines would have gained so much if Kara and Alex had shared more meaningful interaction. Instead Kara's storyline in particular feels hollow, but even Alex and Kelly's story could have benefitted if we had actually seen Alex reach out more to Kara (or J'onn) for relationship advice.

I see alot of wrapping up of story lines - but I really don't see any wrapping up of how SuperGirl's future will be.
It seems logical to me that Kara’s end would be last meaning not until the finale two episodes. Personally I like not having Kara’s end spoon fed to me, my hope is after we find out we can go back and find a few clues.

It’s amusing to me when people project so much and get mad from Synopsis and pictures. Haven’t we learned over the past six years that pictures and synopsis don’t tell the whole story.

Let's be clear - I am not asking to be spoon fed anything -my baby years have long passed. I would like to start seeing an ending for Kara and I would like to see more sister dialogues. If it amuses you in anyway then by all means go for it. Seems like it doesn't take much to amuse you.
To be clear I’m all for more Danvers sister scenes. Personally I’m good not knowing Kara’s ending until the final night. Opinions differ on how much build up an ending needs.

I see alot of wrapping up of story lines - but I really don't see any wrapping up of how SuperGirl's future will be. I am very happy for Esme and I think Alex at the Bar top probably ordering a Sunday soda for Esme is adorable. I think it's great that Alex is getting married and Kelly is very happy. I guess for me, I don't really see alot of Alex /Kara time - everytime the writers were told they wanted to see more Kara/Alex time the writers always acted like they were listening and then went on to write scripts totally ignoring what was asked for. Seems to me that we could have cut down on some of the Kelly/Alex time and spent just a little more time on the sisters.

Well, the Alex proposing to Kelly photo stood out tome. Also love seeing Esme in some photos.Looks like we'll have some type of showdown between the superfriends and Nyxly/Lex in this episode.

Nxyly has a totem crystal in the bracelet attachment that Mitch made. Wonder which crystal it is? This one is blue. Supergirl had to breakout the anti-Kryptonite suit again.

Here’s hoping the last 4 episodes of Supergirl don’t become The Lex Luthor Show again.
